How to get the app

The FemFit app is a pelvic floor training system designed to help women strengthen their pelvic floor muscles and alleviate urinary incontinence by utilising specific exercises bundled into a programme. There is an option to purchase a separate intravaginal device that provides real time feedback on pelvic floor control and engagement.

The app offers programmes aimed at improving pelvic health and guidance to ensure you perform the correct exercise techniques. The app allows you to track progress over time and log symptoms in the diary section.

FemFit has been shown to resolve up to 80% of urinary incontinence symptoms, empowering women to regain control and improve their quality of life.

PROS CONS

This app is backed by research and was designed and created by the University of Auckland.

The gamification is a clever way of ensuring you perform the exercises appropriately.

Easy to use, and simple layout. Lots of education content in the app as well.

The only real con is that to receive the full functionality and benefits of the app it's highly recommended to purchase the additional intravaginal device at roughly $400.00.

Comments: The FemFit app is targeted at women experiencing pelvic floor issues with a focus on urinary incontinence, eg, women with urinary incontinence, postpartum mothers, athletes and active women, women experiencing menopause and anyone wanting better pelvic health. The app is especially beneficial if you're looking for a clinically validated, non-invasive way to improve bladder control and overall pelvic well-being. The main feature of the app is the interactive or gamified exercises sessions, which are structured exercise programmes that become even more specific with the additional use of the purchasable device. This feature has been backed by research and results show that over 85% of users that purchase the intravaginal device have significant reduction in incontinence issues, or even none at all. Overall, Femfit is a fantastic app, made even better with purchasing the intravaginal device, but even without this, users will still experience some good benefits.
Safety concerns: None.
New Zealand relevance: Yes. This is designed in Aotearoa New Zealand.
